Dear Sisters,

So excited to get back together with everybody! Outside is where will be in September and October….after that we will need to figure things out! So…

September 14, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. in the Washington Park Shelter.

Teri has a fun program planned and I will be discussing the purposes of DKG and our new state president, Pat Bennett Foreman’s theme for the year.

I am starting this week to call all our members for information to help us plan for the year and enable us to become better friends. Here is what I will be asking you:

1    1. We want everyone to have a Rose Buddy that you will check in on, enable them to get to meetings if needed, and if we go to Zoom, someone to help everyone be able to attend on the Zoom platform.
Newsletter from Zeta and from WSO (Washington State Org.) – paper or email?
Are you vaccinated?
Will you attend in person? On Zoom?
Choose a committee to belong to for the new year, choices include membership, program, finance, scholarship, communications (phone tree), historian (scrapbook), projects (Mill Bay, etc.).
. Any program ideas ?

We are starting work on the new yearbook so I will also be checking on your phone number, e-mail, address, birthday.

Check this newsletter for the next raffle item, Teri’s program, Robert Asks (not saying, asking!), and some healthy thoughts!

I hope I did not miss anything…if I did, let me know!

Rosa Eilert, President

Robert Asks:  Why did the girl wear lipstick to school? --- She had a makeup test!  Hahaha!!

Are you ready for another ROCKN’ year with Delta Kappa Gamma?  Some might say
that last year was pretty ROCKY, but we hope that now we are on a ROLL, and
will ROCK it with both old and new members.

Our September meeting will find us painting ROCKS. Be thinking of words of encouragement, sentiments, and feelings to paint on your own ROCK, as well as
scenery or animals. As the year ROLLS along, you can read and hold your ROCK and
it will give you strength to ROLL on. Each meeting will follow the theme of
ROCK AND ROLL and will educate, entertain, and fill you with ROCKS and ROLLS.

I hope you can join us each month.  The Zoom option should work well for us…unless
it is the cooking class, you know, ... ROLLS, …tasting, eating, licking lips and feeling full.  We will have to see on that one.

Bring a guest and a ROCK to Washington Park shelter, September 14 at 4:00 and we will get started on a year of ROCKING and ROLLING.

Walking is a magic cure for people who want to think straight, and there’s a long list
of creative people who have sworn by a daily walk to get good ideas flowing.  Be one of them.

This month's raffle prize

Hope you a good August and looking forward to seeing you at our first
Delta Kappa Gamma meeting, September 14.
