My Dear Sisters,

Wasn’t our luncheon delicious, beautiful (thanks to Teri and the Country Club), and fun? It was fun to hear everybody’s plans for the holidays…especially liked Karen Bray’s ping pong game! You should ask her about it! Here’s some news about our members:

Maria Diaz’s husband is on the mend…he was in hospital in December.

Billie Lopushinski’s second shoulder replacement is healing well.

Mary Armstrong will be heading south soon…lucky her!

Pat Strand (just heard from her neighbor) is having arthritis issues like I do with my shoulders.

Sue Lawson told us that Arlene Jones, her Rose Buddy, is doing well coping with her chemo.

Check in with your Rose Buddies and if you hear of anything we need to share, let me know.

And now to the program for our next meeting. If you remember last winter, we heard from Jill Fineis, the principal of Pinnacles Prep, our new charter school for 6th & 7th graders. Their plans were fascinating and a departure from other public schools. This year they have been in session since the fall and it is time for an update on their curriculum, what worked, what they may have changed, and overall how it’s going. We will have either Jill or Sara Rolfs, a founder and board member. We will be on Zoom for the meeting. You will receive the Zoom invite later this week.

Zoom meeting, January 11, 2022 at 4:00 p.m.

We will also meet on Zoom in February. We will see how the COVID numbers are in the spring to determine when and where we can meet in person. Currently, the Methodist Church where we have met for years is closed even for worship due to the high numbers of COVID cases fueled by Omicron.

As I sit looking out at my snowy street and yard, it’s a good day to read a book!

Wishing everyone a New Year that is an improvement for all our lives.
