From my Kitchen Window...Ken

Dear Sisters,

I was so bummed that I missed the luncheon at the country Club. I know Teri was so awesome as the hostess with the moistest! I am in the process of sorting through the mittens, scarves, and hats to donate once school gets back in session and then while working at Our House Cancer Care, Becky wanted to know if I had anywhere I could take some small hats that had been donated there…of course, I knew just where I could take them! I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas and that all the travel snafus were not part of your holiday. My own daughter’s family got stranded at LAX airport on the way home from Costa Rica and were fortunate to get a rental car to drive home through SeaTac to Coulee City! And our weather just keeps sending us snow and more snow!

How to Set Up a Zoom Meeting

Our January and February meetings will be on ZOOM. Because our February meeting falls on Valentine’s Day, we are changing the date.

Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 4 p.m. I will send the link next week.

Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at 4 p.m. Again, I will send the link the week before.

Remember that on ZOOM you can click the link in the email or go to the ZOOM site and use the ID and password to log in. If you wish to join via phone, that information should be included in the email.

Also, we have a board meeting January 24, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Bonaventure, thanks to Marilynn Weaver for hosting us.

Casino date is January 14 unless you hear otherwise from Denise Perkins or Pauline Peterson.

When we meet on ZOOM, we will share some of our holiday adventures before starting the program.

Teri will have the details for the program. There were no December minutes because we were partying! Enjoy the remains of our holidays and here’s hoping that our winter treats us more kindly in future.

Happy New Year Wenatchee DKG Ladies

It is time to Zoom into new adventures, new friends, new learnings, new thoughts and new speakers for our theme, MAKING A DIFFERENCE.

Zoom to our program on January 10 at 4:00 to hear Dave Kazemba from Overcast Law Office, speak to us on estate planning and wills.
How to Set Up a Zoom Meeting

He will share with us what estate planning is, why it’s important for loved ones and community to leave a legacy and why it is benefical for the transfer of accumulated wealth/possessions to go smoothly for you and for your family.

He likes to be client led, so come with questions both legal and personal. Who to ask for help when you write that all important will, what is the process for giving to local charities, what legal documents are necessary for anything that you decide to do, and more.

Zoom in to hear how MAKING A DIFFERENCE with your hard earned money can be easy and rewarding with proper planning.

We will draw a name for the January raffle basket too....cozy scarf, good read, tea and a Lavender candle.  Just right for a long January on the couch.

*January and February are zoom meetings for us, so you are on your own.
Chose a cause near and dear to your heart and reach out to them.

*Billie has agreed to be the contact person for the ESL class in March

As you look forward to the new year, put time on your calendar for you.  Schedule time with yourself to do something you really enjoy.  Don’t apologize for it.

Just wanted everyone to see the Spokane chapter newsletter….very interesting, I think.
At our board meeting, Jan. 24, we might discuss what we can do to change our newsletter
and get ideas for changes in what we do as a chapter. Rosa
